Legend has it that Louis XV  commissioned a royal jeweler to create a design and shape of diamond that looked like the mouth of his mistress Marquise de Pompadour, and thus, the marquise cut was born!

A glance: Marquise shaped Diamond center, set vertically with six prongs.  A  Diamond halo surrounds the center stone, which is itself edged with a mil grain border. A curved band of round Diamonds flanks the center stone and halo on either side. Four round Diamond are set on either side of the semi mount.  The entirety of the ring is done in 18Karat White Gold
