The history of the Marquise Diamond is as interesting as it is romantic. Legend has it that Louis XV encountered a beautiful woman during a masked ball at Versailles. He was so taken by her that he made her his chief mistress within his court as the Marquise de Pompadour/ Madame de Pompadour). He declared that her  lips were the most perfect he had ever seen. When the king commissioned a royal jeweler to create a design and shape of diamond that looked most like her lips, the Marquise cut Diamond was born!

A glance: Lab grown Marquise cut Diamond center, set with 6 prongs. Under the center stone and inside the perimeter of the prongs is a Diamond hidden halo. Flanking either side of the center stone are five small round Diamonds, set in a half eternity design. The entirety of the ring is set in 14K yellow Gold.
